Explanation
This is a memory technique for Japanese demonstrative words. Many words fit this pattern: KORE, SORE, ARE, DORE, for example, or KOKO, SOKO, ASOKO, DOKO.
- Kore / Koko: near the speaker
- Sore / Soko: near the listener
- Are / Asoko: somewhere else
- Dore / Doko: a question
